Kira and Yossi got married in December at the incredible Pat Busch Mountain Reserve. This is quite possibly one of my favourite venues, the rolling mountains and ceremony under an oak tree, what else could you possibly want?! This wedding stood out to me for so many reasons, one of them being that Kira wanted a completely documentary approach to the wedding day. She wanted to main focus to be on the people, the moments and the joy shared between everyone, which for me, is the most important part of any wedding day. They got married under a big oak tree in a traditional Jewish ceremony and kicked off the reception with the 'Hora's'. After some speeches and mains, they partied the night away with their closest friends and family and ended it all will a silent disco. This wedding was so special to me, not only because Kira and Yossi are such a rad couple but because, this wedding for me, is what every wedding should be. A celebration from start to finish. Celebrating you joining together and committing to spending your lives together. Thank you guy for allowing me to share this incredible day with you, i really had so much fun! After the groom and bridal prep, Yossi made his way towards where Kira got ready, for the 'bedeken'. This is a very special part of the wedding day and i am so grateful that i was able to document it. This is when the groom visits the bride and lifts her veil, to make sure he is marrying the correct person. However, Kira and Yossi added a slight twist to this tradition. Equality is very important to Kira, and instead of Yossi lifting her veil, he placed it over her and she put his blazer on him. This was so incredible to witness and the joy and happiness everyone shared, was AMAZING! After this, the groom and his groomsmen left and went to wait for Kira at the wedding ceremony.
